Okay so it wasn't really a suggestion... it was presented as a fact and it has been bumping around in my mind. Last week, in a meeting of minds, someone purposed (as a motivator) that Jesus spoke about hell seven times more than he spoke of heaven during his ministry here on the good ole revolving ball. Any thoughts people?

How was this meant to be a motivator? It sounds more like a scare tactic.
Whip out that 5,000 page concordance and lets have a looksy...
How about "this information is inaccurate"? Hell appears a grand total of 12 times in the gospels. Heaven occurs 138 times. Not all of these were out of Jesus' mouth, of course, but it still gives us a good picture. What devilry could've motivated this lame-ass stat that got passed to you?
I'm not sure but i think i'm going to ask.
The only thing I know for sure is that Jesus did talk about Hell more than anyone else in scripture, which helps people who have a hard time believing that Hell exists deal with it's reality. Maybe that was the idea, although poorly executed.
well, he spoke about money more than he did hell or heaven, so what do we do with that?
