Pretty cool. I'll buy his album featuring arkansas for sure. I'll buy his missourri album too, just for you. Maybe you could invite Sufijan down to your DR home and show him around. He make write a song about it, or just drink some presidentes or something.

if i like Bright Eyes, do I get to pass on Sujfan? or if I like Sufjan do i get a pass on Bright Eyes? What about if i liked Nacho Libre? if i liked that movie do i garner enough points to be excused from both those musicians?
i only ask because i was thinking yesterday about how I "really should" get into Bright Eyes and Sujfan because everyone loves them. I am trying, but my initial listen didn't sway this cold heart of mine. Last night, however, I did watch Nacho and because I had heard so much "boo-boo!" about that film I hadn't one expectation in the world. I loved it- laughed the whole way through.
i think the next time i say something like "yeah, i'm not really digging sufjan" i am ALSO going to say, "but Nacho Libre knocked my socks off!" -- then stand back and watch the confusion.
i guess you're all just not cool enough to understand sufijan (for those of you who do not know me, add an air of sarcasm to the statement).
who the hell writes a song about a damn bird?
i want to like it, but when i ask myself that question i turn my back on this little artsy boy.
but, i'm shure if he and i met we'd get along fine and i may even start liking my his music. (that's my statement to balance out my sarcasm and judgment)
I was enjoying the "music to kill yourself by" as my husband would call this little diddy, when all these people began interrupting the song. It made me enjoy it less.
Also, I too have seen a "Good Lord Bird". My cat is trying to make them extinct as far as our yard is concerned. Sorry, Arkansas.
